2009 Calvin at 500: His Life and His Legacy Listen to selections
Dr. Carl R. Trueman and Dr. Sean Michael Lucas gave messages
relating to the life and legacy of John Calvin on the 500th
anniversary of his birth in 1509. Dr. Trueman gave a very
important series of lectures helping us understand how to view John
Calvin as an exile and thus to better understand his place among the
magisterial reformers in the tumultuous sixteenth century. Dr.
Lucas provided a excellent and practical leadership forum on "Grace
Centered Leadership" and helped us to understand Calvin's Rhetoric
of Piety, his doctrine of Creation and to hear Calvin on the Means
of Grace.
2008 Gospel Truth and Pagan Lies: Unmasking Gnostic Paganism’s Influence
in our Culture
Dr. Peter R. Jones and Rev. Al Baker spoke about surprisingly pervasive resurgence of the old paganism into 21st century culture. They encouraged God’s people to unmask this false religiosity and understand it for what it truly is, just the same old satanic lies brought back in some new packaging. Dr. Jones presented the five points of Paganism and showed how this resurgence presents both a challenge and an opportunity.
2007 Blessed Assurance: The Preservation of the Saints
Dr. Joel R. Beeke and Dr. Derek Thomas spoke about the preservation of the saints. The Lord has an ongoing concern for the welfare and preservation of His people, and He wants them to make it to heaven, to see His glory. He knows about the trials and tribulations that they face and shall certainly preserve the saints until the end.
2006 The Word of God: The Hammer that Breaks the Rock Listen to selections
Dr. Bryan Chapell and Dr. Leland Ryken spoke on the Power of the
Word of God in the Bible to transform lives when preached biblically
as Christ-Centered messages and in grace principles found throughout
the scripture. Dr. Chapell gave some fine examples of
Christ-Centered preaching in different portions of the Bible and Dr.
Ryken spoke on the Puritan view of the Bible, English Bible
Translations, the Bible as Literature.
2005 True Spirituality: A Biblically Reformed Approach
Dr. John Vance and Dr. Derek Thomas spoke about the piety and spiritual reality of Paul and the church fathers, Augustine, Calvin and Edwards. They encouraged us to be "truly spiritual" and gave us wisdom and insight on attaining spirituality through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
2004 Truth on Fire: Justification in Galatians and Church History
Dr. Carl Trueman and Dr. William Barcley came to Coventry to explain and proclaim the truth of Justification by Faith. They dealt with issues of justification through the eyes of St. Paul and Martin Luther, and also handled well the issues related to the recent teachings known as the "New Perspective on Paul" and its implications for the Church today.
2003 Holiness by Grace Listen to selections
The CVCRT was welcomed by its long-time sponsor into its new and permanent home in Coventry, Conn. Prof. Jerram Barrs from Covenant Theological Seminary and Dr. Andrew Hoffecker from Reformed Theological Seminary explored the development of the doctrine of holiness in Scripture and throughout church history.

Returning to Manchester, Rev. Jeffrey J. Meyers returned along with Dr. J. Ligon Duncan of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, Mississippi. They presented a series of lectures that expounded the fundamental value of the Covenant in the Christian's life, including a review of the history of Covenant Theology and the importance of the Sacraments in development of a Covenant understanding.
2001 Loving the Lord with All Your Mind:
Restoring a Proper View of the Life of the Mind in Christ's Church
Once again in Wethersfield, Dr. Robert Reymond of Knox Theological Seminary and Dr David Calhoun of Covenant Theological Seminary presented lectures on the importance of intellectual development in the Christian Life. Marquis Laughlin presented dramatic recitations from the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
2000 Hope for a New Millennium:
Can We Build Here?
After a sabbatical year, the Conference returned to Wethersfield and welcomed Dr. Joseph Pipa, President and Professor at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Greenville, South Carolina and Joel Belz, Publisher of World Magazine. These men taught on the appropriate relationship between the world and the Church.
1998 Approaching the Throne of Grace:
The Doctrine and Practice of Prayer
Held in Wethersfield, the '98 conference featured Dr. Steve Brown, Professor at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida and Dr. Frank Barker, Jr., Pastor of Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama, a leading congregation in the Presbyterian Church in America, noted for its emphasis on personal evangelism, Christian discipleship, and World Missions. The teaching sessions were augmented by a season of prayer when conferees put into practice what they learned.

Manchester, Connecticut hosted the '97 conference, which featured Dr. Douglas F. Kelly Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Robert Letham, Senior Minister of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Wilmington, Delaware, and Dr. Peter Toon, President of the Prayer Book Society of the Episcopal Church.

Also held in Manchester, the '96 conference featured Dr. Henry Krabbendam of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, Dr. Richard Gaffin of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and Dr. Robert Rayburn, Pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church in Tacoma, Washington.
1995 Nourished by the Lord's Supper Listen to selections
The first Manchester-based conference featured Dr. Sinclair Fergusen of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Dr. Robert Godfrey of Westminster Theological Seminary in California, and Rev. Peter Leithart, author and Pastor of Reformed Heritage Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Breakout sessions were lead by Dr. John Vance of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Newburgh, New York and Dr. T. David Gordon of Gordon-Conwell Seminary near Boston, Massachusetts.
1994 The Church and Modern Culture
The inaugural conference, held in Wethersfield, featured Ken Meyers of Mars Hill Tapes, Dr. William Barker of Westminster Theological Seminary and author and Bible scholar James B. Jordan. Each speaker presented on two occasions on the topic of the Christian in the modern society.
